Introduction to Off-Piste Skiing in Meribel

About six years ago I started blogging about my experiences as a private ski instructor, my life here in Méribel and some stories about happy times with clients during their private ski lessons. Some of my clients are regular visitors to Méribel, which means they are very interested to hear about the latest goings on, weather and snow conditions as well as who I've been skiing with recently.

For example a couple of weeks ago I was teaching a group of ladies from Dublin, who call themselves 'The Goonie Birds'. I've taught them for the last four or five years and always look forward to hearing about their latest adventures. I am stunned at how many of my other clients, and even friends back in the UK in the summer, ask me how the Goonies are getting on. They have never met the Goonies - and are unlikely to, unless they are all on holiday the same week of the winter. It's a nice reminder that people do in fact read the blog, and often relate to some of the articles.

I started the blog for a number of reasons, way before it became an important part of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). I wanted my regular clients to stay interested in Méribel and I also wanted newcomers to experience my passion for the mountains and skiing. Another reason was that I wanted my photography to improve in order to stimulate the reader with my images. After all, I couldn't put any old tosh onto the blog otherwise it would look unprofessional.

Over the years it's developed, and I'm really pleased with its present profile. My latest article is titled 'Come On Grandad', and is about three lovely clients who came to Méribel and wanted to be introduced to some off-piste skiing here. If you like to read about other people's experiences on skis, look at images of them skiing, and take in a little bit of banter, then please click on this link www.aspiretoski.blogspot.com .

Feel free to leave a comment, it's always nice to hear from people, and confirmation that the articles are in fact read by people other than my wife and Mum !?! If you fancy a daily fix from Méribel, Michael and I tweet and post on Facebook regularly as well. You can link directly onto mh2ski's Facebook and Twitter at the top of this page.

Live with passion everyone.
